Mrs. Rebecca Akufo Addo, Wife to President Nana Akufo Addo and First Lady of the country, has send a message of heartfelt gratitude towards donors who contributed to the building of a one-storey maternity ward for the Konfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).

Jointly sponsored with Multimedia Group, the the #SaveThemNow fundraising event is an initiative aimed at raising an initial Ghc 10 Million to establish a new Mother and Baby Unit for Ghana's largest hospital in the Ashanti Region and other major hospitals.

The initiative saw companies the likes of GHACEM, Ghana's major cement producers, and Promasidor, producers of Cowbell, donating substantial sums of funds towards the cause. The initiative also received great support from individuals of the general public.

The initiative deplored the relatively simple complications mothers and babies have to go through at the Mothers and babies go through at the Mothers and Baby unit at KATH.

In a heartfelt message of gratitude shared on her Facebook page, First Lady Rebecca Akufo Addo thanked all who contributed to her jointly sponsored initiative.
