Ms Amakye, 33, was reportedly arrested at her hideout in Ashaiman,in the Greater Accra Region, based on a tip-off.
YEN.com.gh reported in January that Amakye had been declared wanted by the police for the alleged fraud.
An outsourced staffer from Noswall Management Service, a recruitment agency, she is said to have fled when Stanbic Bank's financial crime control unit found out that she was involved in fraudulent transactions.
Using her role as a personal solution consultant at the Tema Community One branch of Stanbic Bank, Amakye reportedly collected money from customers on the pretext of investing the money in fixed deposits.
She is said to have done that without the bank;s permission, sometimes meeting customers outside the ban to collect their money.
Reports say by the time the bank discovered the fraudulent scheme, Amakye had succeeded in running away with GHc900,000, prompting the bank to lodge a complaint with the police.
