Family of J.B. Danquah-Adu is demanding for an intense investigation into the murder of the member of parliament for Abuakwa North.
The family has mounted a huge banner across vantage places including the forecourt of the Bretuo palace of the Abuakwa North constituency demanding; “we want to know who killed the late member of parliament”.
Spokesperson of the grieving family, Kwaku N. Solomon has revealed to the media that that the family hopes to garner 2 million signatures even ahead of the May 16 trial of one of the suspected assassins of JB. Danquah stating the family is resolved to taking “the banner to other regions in 4 days time for others seeking justice into the gruesome murder of the late benevolent MP to also sign. We are entreating all Ghanaians who want justice in the case of our beloved son, father and brother to come out and sign the banners for justice delayed is justice denied.”
J.B Danquah was stabbed at his residence by unknown assassins as the police claim they still are investigating the situation.
YEN had earlier reported that the Greater Accra regional police commander, DCOP George Akuffo Dampare led the arrest of the lead suspect in the killing of the Abuakwa North MP Joseph Boakye Danquah Adu. The intelligence operation is reported to have taken place today following convincing leads and circumstantial evidence as further investigations conclude the unnamed assailant may have used a ladder to enter the MP’s room via his window to execute their plan.
J.B Danquah’s murder caused a stir in parliament as legislators did not only suspend sitting but also called for each parliamentarian to be apportioned to a security officer so as to intensify their security.
