In what is a heartwarming act of selflessness, a couple in Georgia, US has adopted seven siblings aged between five and 14.
Joshua and Jessaka Clark officially adopted Maria, 14; Elizabeth, 11; Guillermo, 10; Jason, eight; Kristina, seven; Katerin, seven; and James, five, on Tuesday, May 9.
Joshua and Jessaka already have one biological son, three-year-old Noah.
The siblings were placed in the foster care system after their mother abandoned them about four years ago.
They have been living the the Clarks since August last year.
In an interview, Joshua and Jessaka said they have always wanted a big family. Jessaka also said she came from a family that also took in foster children.
When they heard about the seven siblings, they decided to take them in. Jessaka said: "My eyes probably got as big as his and we both said the same thing: 'We need to pray about this.' We prayed that night and didn't sleep well because God told us that these were the kids for us."
All the kids were excited about the formal adoption finally happening, with little Noah happy to finally get siblings after being an only child for three years.
The siblings have one more sister under the age of two but the Clarks will need to get a bigger house to take her in as per local laws.
