The 67 page report has stated in black and white that the reason behind John Mahama’s shocking defeat was due to the vice of corruption, arrogance and abuse of incumbency.

Investigations by the Today’s newspaper claim that the paper is predicting another huge defeat for the NDC if top executives of the party did not heed to its recommendations.

“The concern of the party supporters is to have leaders who will share in their sorrows and fight for the cause of the party even at the peril of their lives. There was no equity in the distribution of logistics and sharing of money for the campaign,” the report stressed.

President Mahama is believed to also have been also cited in the report. The former president, according to the report, lost to the NPP mainly due to the way he handled most of the alleged corrupt scandals which rocked government – citing the cases of the Brazil 2014 scandal, SADA, GYEDA and so on.

YEN had earlier reported of how the former president Rawlings likened the loss of Mahama to the same issues the Kwesi Botchway report indicated.

Jerry Rawlings before the elections lamented how the NDC was suffering from a bad image. Thus raising concerns about Mahama’s commitment to the fight against corruption, and urging him to work harder to fight the canker.

But should this report by the said Kwesi Botchwey committee is anything to go by, it then could suggest that Rawlings indeed knew the NDC would be kicked out of office in the 2016 elections.
