Nana Yaa Jantuah resigns following allegations of financial misappropriation

- According to a letter cited by YEN Nana Yaa Jantuah has tendered in her resignation effective November 1, 2017

- The PURC is being investigated for acts of financial malfeasance

The director of public relations for the Public Utility Regulatory Commission (PURC) Nana Yaa Jantuah has resigned from her position.

According to a letter she signed and sent to the executive secretary, Samuel Sarong her resignation is effective November 1, 2017.

I wish to resign from the Commission effective 11th November 2017. Prior to my resignation, I wish to take all outstanding leave which is accrued to me as a staff of the Commission starting from 4th of June 2017,” the letter cited by YEN read.

She failed to give reasons for her resignation. But YEN can deduce it may be because she is being investigated for misappropriation.

Nana Yaa Jantuah and other management members of the PURC are being investigated for financial malfeasance.

According to JOY FM, they have documents that show that Nana Yaa has spent some Ȼ120,000 on 350 hampers for Christmas.

Also the PURC’s executive director, Samuel Sarpong has been accused of transferring GHC400,000 into his personal account

The BNI investigation is investigating this alleged financial misappropriation.
