Ghana book place in U17 World Cup in India

- Ghana’s U 17 team have qualified to the 2017 youth World Cup in India

- The Black Starlets have won their opening games in the African championship ongoing in Gabon

The Black Starlets of Ghana booked a place in the 2017 FIFA U17 World Cup in India to be held in India.

Ghana’s youth team have already qualified to the semi-final the ongoing African U 17 Championship in Gabon.

The Black Starlets trash host Gabon 5-0

The team made it two straight wins with a 5-0 crushing of hosts Gabon on Wednesday. The boys also beat Cameroon 4-0 in their opening group game.

On Wednesday, captain Eric Ayiah registered his second brace of the competition after opening the scoring from the spot in the 33rd minute.

He now leads the goal king chart with four goals.

Winger Emmanuel Toku also scored twice in the 34th and 66th minutes respectively.

Mandela Academy’s Patmos Arhin came off the bench to score the fifth goal on 76 minutes.
