- Captain Mahama's family have asked government to sack the Upper Denkyira West DCE
- They say some in a high position should not speak the way he did
The relatives of the murdered army captain, Maxwell Adams Mahama, have urged the current administration to dismiss the recently appointed District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Upper Denkyira West.
Captain Maxwell Adam Mahama’s grandfather expressed that the family had not taken the Upper Denkyira West DCE, Mr. Danial Appianin’s comments regarding the late army captain well at all, referring to the DCE’s comments as reckless.
“The statement by the DCE does not augur well for us as a family” said Chief Kasei, the lynched army captain’s grieving grandfather.
Chief Kasei, speaking to the Class FM’s Kwesi Parker-Wilson, hinted that the DCE’s comments made Ghanaian look bad as a people. He said that having worked outside the country before he was aware of the respect Ghanaians were accorded by other nationals, and added that the family DCE’s comments would damage that.
