Over 460,000 students will sit for the 2017 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) which starts on Monday, June 5, 2017.
A total of 468,053 candidates have registered, and are expected to sit for this year’s exams across the country.
Male students who registered for this year’s BECE were 241,148, while the number of females stands at 226,905.
A total of 1,702 centres are expected to host this year’s BECE exams.
A statement from the Ghana Education Service (GES) has cautioned students to do away with examination malpractices during the exercise. Teachers were also warned to desist from making any dubious moves during the examinations.
The 2017 BECE exams start June 5 and end on June 9.
