Incredible footage has surfaced online showing a heroic woman shielding a boy from the full impact of a car that rammed into a wall in Connecticut, US.
The woman identified as Shanta Jordan noticed the car veering out of control and quickly sought to push the boy out of its way.
However, the car was too fast and both were slammed onto the wall after being thrown into the air momentarily.

The surveillance footage shows both Shanta and the unidentified boy slumping to the ground as the car retreats. Onlookers then rushed in to help them.
The local chief of police, A. J Perez, told reporters that Shanta took most of the impact from the car, thus saving the boy's life.
Perez said: "I want to say thank you to this good person. If it wasn't' because she stepped in, I truly believe it would have been a fatality."
The two are currently recovering in hospital. Doctors reportedly performed an operation on the boy to save his legs.
The driver of the car also sustained injuries and was treated. Police later arrested him on charges of reckless driving.
