- Kennedy Agyapong has criticised Nana Akufo-Addo for, according to him, leaving out "certain brains" from his cabinet
- In an interview, he said he could not defend the president's cabinet
- The MP, however, called for the ministers who are not in cabinet to be allowed to attend meetings
Kennedy Agyapong, the member of parliament for Assin Central, has expressed disappointment at President Nana Akufo-Addo' cabinet.
Akufo-Addo's cabinet includes Finance Minister Ofori Attah and Attorney-General Glorai Akuffo.
However, big names like the minister of science at technology, Professor Frimpong Boateng, and the senior minister, Yaw Osafo Marfo, were left out.
In an interview on Adom TV, Agyapong said he was not happy with the cabinet and that was it indefensible that some big names had not been included in it.
"You need certain brains at all times in cabinet but those persons were left out," he said.
The MP said he was aware that Akufo-Addo had the right to select his own cabinet and so would not to talk too much about it.
Agyapong said although key ministers had been left out of parliament, it was important that they be allowed to attend cabinet meetings.
This, he said, would enable Akufo-Addo to benefit from their wealth of experience.
