Earlier, the NPP stalwart had issued a warning that the NPP was treading down a path that would cost it the 2020 elections by ignoring the “commoners” of the party.

According to Mr. Agyapong, the grassroot of the NPP was very instrumental in winning the 2016 elections for the party and choosing to ignore them would be very detrimental to the party.

His comments, however, seem to have ruffled feathers in the NPP leaderships who indicated that they were not very happy with his comments.

In retort, the Assin Central MP, while speaking with Adom TV, stated that he is “ready” to face anyone in the NPP who is “threatening to bring [him] down” based on his comments.

He maintained that, the NPP not listening to his critique shows the party is not tolerant of divergent views.
