It was an emotional scene at the Accra Central Magistrate Court as some traders who went to witness the trial of the suspected killers of the late Captain Maxwell Mahama were left in tears.
Major Mahama was gruesomely lynched by residents of Denkyira-Obuasi on suspicion of being a thief.
Despite pleas by the late soldier to explain himself in the circumstance, deaf ears were paid as he was stoned and pelted to death.
News of his death sparked tributes from across the country, with 42 suspects being subsequently arrested in connection with the incident.
On Monday 32 of the suspected murderers were arraigned before the Accra Center Magistrate Court for trial, however, the scene turned emotional with many who were present at the court being left in tears.

She said if given the chance she will also shoot all the alleged suspects. "They killed an innocent person, don't they have feelings," she cried.
The late Mahama left behind a wife and two children. He will be buried Friday, June 9.
