- Wife of the deceased Major Mahama has recounted her precious moments with him
- Barbara Mahama believes Major Mahama is still alive and not dead
Wife of the late Major Maxwell Mahama, Barbara Mahama has issued a soul fulfilling tribute to her husband.
After worrying times faced in the wake of Mahama’s lynching, Barbara has just been seen on TV and other social media platforms in a pensive and sorrowful mood but this tribute YEN has got hold of shows that the couple where indeed a loving and trustworthy one.
“I don’t regret many things my love. You wanted us to enjoy life and be happy. We always joked about poverty being a disease since it restricts people. We had plans my king, many plans!” Barbara lamented in her tribute.
The family of Major Mahama has expressed regret over the unfortunate killing of their loved one, thus calling on government to establish a monument in honour of him so as to deter Ghanaians from future cases of jungle justice.
YEN has provided ample information on how much of a hero the failed captain was as a father and also a hero but this revealing tribute by his wife clearly showed how much of a kind soul he had - the kind that always was on the lookout for the well-being of others.
“I am beginning to believe my prayers hindered you from going earlier, but this time, you just had to go because the Thursday before that Monday, I had gone to pray some powerful prayers for you at “Answer Time”.Your memory will never die! You are not dead, you are still alive, alive in our hearts. I remember you sacrificing so much for me to do my Masters, I told you I appreciated that move very much but you said it was because you want me to be in a good standing to cater for the kids when you are no more. I always asked you “where at all do you think you are going,” excerpts of the tribute read.
Meanwhile, government has set out preparations for the burial of Major Mahama as several political leaders and Ghanaians have already started signing the book of condolence of the late soldier.
