Hanks Anuku mourns Major Mahama as he goes home Friday
Nollywood actor, Hanks Anuku, was one of the hundreds of people who paid their last respects to Major Maxwell Mahama as he laid in state at the forecourt of the State House in Accra on Friday.

Dressed in black, Hanks Anuku, cast a sorrowful figure as he filed past the casket of the late soldier.

The Nollywood actor, who has been living in Ghana for some years now, is known to attend several key national events.
The burial service of the Major Mahama was attended by several dignitaries, including Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia and former president John Mahama.

It was marked by tears and sorrow as the loss of the army officer dawned on many people.

The burial service preceded the interment of the the soldier at the military section of the Osu cemetery.

Major Mahama's death at the hand of a vicious mob at Denkyira Obuasi last week Monday has shocked the nation.

The officer, according to the police, was mistaken for a robber and lynched after some women in the community spotted his official pistol.
