The police administration has reassigned the Director of Public Affairs of the Ghana Police Service, Superintendent Cephas Arthur to serve as the commander of the East Legon district command.
The memo also indicated DSP Sheila Abayie Buckman, who was deputy to Supt. Arthur will be the new Director of Public Affairs for the Ghana Police Service.
Supt. Arthur takes over from the indicted DSP Emmanuel Basintale, who was involved in a gold scam in March this year.
Supt. Arthur is one of the longest serving public affairs directors for the police service. He previously served as the deputy director of public affairs under SP Kwesi Ofori. In 2011, he was promoted to head the Public Affairs Directorate when SP Kwesi Ofori was reassigned to the Tafo Pankrono Police station in the Ashanti Region.

ACP David Oklu has also been appointed as the Director General in charge of Public Relations.
