Owner of Angel Group donates cash and 50 cartons of Adonko Bitter to late Mahama's family

The owner of the Angel Group of Companies has donated some money and items to the family of the late Major Maxwell Adams Mahama.

The Chief Executive Officer of the group, Dr Kwaku Oteng gave out GHS10,000 to the widow and children of the late military officer.

The donation by the Adonko Bitters boss was made on his behalf by the General Manager of Angel Group of Companies, Madam Salome Akua Amoakoa.

Also, the compang gave out 50 cartons of their product, “Adonko Bitters” to be used to serve the mourners at the funeral rites of the late Maxwell Mahama.

Dr Kwaku Oteng also pledged to support the two young children throughout their education.

The late Captain Mahama, who was given a posthumous promotion by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, was lynched by some irate youth of Denkyira-Obuasi.

He was reportedly mistaken for an armed robber and police investigations and criminal proceedings have started to ascertain the true circumstances surrounding his death.

The slain soldier was given a state burial at the State House.

The funeral service was attended by dignitaries from far and wide including former presidents John Kufuor, John Jerry Rawlings and John Mahama.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who read a tribute on behalf of government, lauded the late officer as soldier’s soldier.
