The New Patriotic Party government lead by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will deliver on promises as accordance to an assurance by the Vice President.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, however asked that Ghanaians in the northern regions of Ghana manage their expectations until later.

On Friday, the VEEP, speaking at the Bolgatanga Central Mosque revealed that the delays in building the dams are due to the rainy season.

“ After the rains are over, we will start the ‘one village one dam’ because we cannot start digging dams in the rainy season”, he assured the crowd gathered at the mosque to catch a glimpse of him.

When the NPP made the promise of “ One Village-One Dam” during the campaign buildup to the 2016 elections, the National Democratic Congress make mockery of it.

The NDC had then believed that the policy was unachievable as constructing a dam in the northern regions would be a costly venture.
