- NDC's Asiedu Nketia has admitted he has 'ugly' looking features but can't negotiate with God
- He says Chairman Rawlings made fun of him at the rally because he was late to the event
The General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Aseidu Nketia also known as ‘General Mosquito’ has admitted he may appear ‘ugly looking’ as said by former president Jerry Rawlings but he cannot question God on his looks.
In a more cynical reply to the former military leader, the NDC chief scribe rubbished the ruinous comment about him; insisting that he cannot be held accountable with his ‘ugly’ looking features.
He said though Chairman Rawlings’ comments directed at him was mere jokes to create comic relief at the rally, the conditions surrounding his comments were difficult for him to satisfy, since he cannot go back to God to negotiate his way through about his physical looks.
“Some people have taken it serious to mean that, he was comparing me to President Mahama, which is not the case. It is rather an endorsement of how hard I’ve delivered my job in the NDC”, he said.
General Mosquito also stressed that, former president Rawlings picked on him at the event grounds because he [Mosquito], arrived late when all dignitaries were already seated.
Aseidu Nketia explained that, he was late for the event due to heavy vehicular traffic at Tema motorway roundabout but quickly apologized upon seeing all NDC ‘big men’ seated on stage including Rawlings.
He added that, on his arrival, there were crowd all over him, which warranted Jerry Rawlings to make fun of him, Saying “I’m even popular than Mahama but for my weight and handsomeness, I could qualify as flagbearer of the party”.
Former president, Jerry Rawlings at the NDC’s 25th anniversary rally at Ashaiman last Sunday, on a lighter note said the party’s general secretary could’ve contested for the party’s flagbearership position if not because he is “ugly” looking.
