- The deputy general secretary of the National Democratic Congress is calling on Nana Addo to return to the country
- The party is implying that Nana Addo’s travels show he is hungry for new citizenship
All seems not to be going down well with the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) when it comes to the foreign trips by the president of the republic, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo as the deputy general secretary of the party, Koku Anhyidohu has hit hard at the president calling on him to as a matter of urgency return from his trips.
So far, the minority in parliament has described the foreign trips by the president as illegal as they argue that the president failed to seek parliamentary approval before embarking on such trips.
According to Koku Anyidohu, the numerous trips by Nana Addo indirectly imply a message of how he could be wishing to change his “citizenship”.
Koku Anyidohu has also revealed that the president failing to attend to crucial matters in Ghana regarding the passing of the late Major Mahama, fluctuations in the supply of energy and other critical security issues as the recent shooting of police officers while on their line of duty.
President Nana Addo recently ended a tour of all member states of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) where he engaged with African leaders on how best to deepen bilateral relation in order to boost economic growth.
From there, he turned his attention to Europe where he is currently sitting through meetings and conferences under the G-20 Partnership for Africa where he is said to have engaged with potential foreign investors over the possibilities available in the country.
