In what would be termed as an unsuccessful wish to change the course of fate, a man who resides at Akyem Asafo in the East Akyem Municipality of the Eastern region with his partner, has left her to her fate, soon after he learnt of her delivery of a set of triplets.

This was soon after he demanded that she terminate the pregnancy; an option she refused.

Perhaps losing sight of the fact that the globally acknowledged “Fathers’ day” is just days away, he has left many residents in the community with varied views on the matter.

Only identified as David, he left his 39-year old partner a few months before she delivered. He went ahead to deny the pregnancy.

As a result, the woman, Elizabeth encountered challenges and could therefore not get medical attention.

She was however admitted to a health facility for four days under medical observation to control her blood pressure ahead of her delivery.

Elizabeth, who is unemployed, gave birth to three boys almost a year ago, through a Caesarean section at the Akyem Tafo Government Hospital.

She is however unable to take care of the children due to her financial predicament.

According to reports, Elizabeth, who is an orphan, often struggles to get the basic necessities for the babies. The children are consequently suffering from a myriad of infections.

She therefore survives on the goodwill of community members as attempts to reach her spouse have proven unsuccessful.

As she is facing possible ejection from her place of abode due to arrears in rent, she has appealed to benevolent individuals and institutions to come to her aid.
