Information available to YEN indicates that the traditional funeral rites of the late Major Mahama took place in the Northern Regional district, Bole.
According to, Zakariah Sakara Ahmed, a spokesperson of the family, the deputy minister of Defense was present, in the company of high – ranking government and military officials. A delegation from the Asantehene was also present to grace the occasion.
He added that Tumu, would be the venue for the final traditional rites, which would be in accordance to the Sisala custom

He finally expressed the family’s appreciation to all who have played various roles in supporting the family, since the day of the untimely death of Major Maxwell Mahama.
