- NPP Youth Group in Savelugu have threatened to deal with any party member who shows solidarity their newly appointed MCE
- They claim some NDC members are behind a solidarity march in support of the new MCE
Some angry Savelugu youth of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), have vowed to take the life of any party member who steps out to support for the newly elected Municipal Chief Executive (MCE).
The youth group issued the warning on some party members on Friday morning after stopped a planned demonstration in solidarity with the embattled MCE, Hajia Ayishetu Seidu.
The police in Savelegu-Nantom clashed with some executives of the party who reportedly went picketing at premises of the Assembly to prevent the new MCE from performing her duties.
The angry Northern Regional youth group maintained that, the solidarity march in support of Hajia Ayishetu Seidu was being organized by known members of the opposition NDC and therefore won’t allow the march to happen under their watch.
“We won’t allow anyone to go for any solidarity march on our streets. If you dare go ahead and with the march in support of the MCE, we’ll kill you. We’ll kill anyone who partakes in any such thing,” the angry youth group threatened.
The youth group have remained firm that, any attempt to impose Hajia Ayishetu Seidu on them as the MCE will be fiercely resisted.
