The Ghana Police Service force in Legon have arrested a 42-year-old man for attacking a female student of University of Ghana on Friday.
YEN has learnt that the assailant reportedly stabbed the victim in the neck severally on 16th June.
According to reports, the assailant, simply referred to as Musah is the boyfriend of the victim, one Zara, a student of Diploma in Adult Education at UG.
Musah, according to a report by Starr News, had tried to contact Zara without success. He then decided to pay her a surprise visit on campus and was stopped from entering the room by victim.
But the determined Musah reportedly forced his way into the room and discovered another man in the room.
The incensed Musah left the room in anger but returned with a shard of glass which he used to stab the victim several times in her neck.
It took the intervention of some students of the university to prevent the man from doing more damage to the victim.
The students also "grabbed" Musah as he tried to run away from the scene of the crime and handed him over to the Legon Police.

Zara is currently on admission at the University of Ghana Hospital, where she is receiving treatment for the injuries sustained.
