- Government is claimed to have accepted the purchase of a presidential fleet by John Mahama
- The aL-hAJJ newspaper has claimed that the president has given orders for the fleet to be imported to the country
The aL-hAJJ newspaper, which broke a story on how the NPP administration is been troubled over a presidential fleet the former NDC administration secured just months before exiting power has come over with yet another startling revelation.
YEN.com.gh had earlier reported of how the former Mahama administration was on the verge of plunging this new administration into judgement debts after checks show how the NDC secured contracts with some companies to secure such controversial vehicles.
As it turns out, the aL-hAJJ newspaper is claiming that Nana Addo, who at first had ordered against the taking stock of these vehicles have actually given the go ahead for these vehicles to be accepted.
A strong source who claims to be a top government official is reported to have confessed to the newspaper that Nana Addo “is of the view that since the contract for the purchase of the vehicles had already been concluded and both sides of the transition team agreed to the purchase of the vehicles for the presidency, we (government) must take delivery of the vehicles”.
The revelation further has it that the presidency has directed the minister for national security, Kan Dapaah, Finance minister Ken Ofori Attah together with some top officials of the BNI to facilitate the importation of all the said vehicles to Ghana.
It has also been claimed that a strong financier of the NPP in the person of Kwabena Boateng Aidoo is facilitating the importation of these vehicles.
