Prez Nana Addo bids Jon Benjamin farewell - says he's welcome back in Ghana anytime

President Nana Akufo Addo has applauded the outgoing UK High Commission saying that he deepened the ties between Ghana and the United Kingdom during his stay in Ghana.

President Akufo Addo stated that Ghanaians will missed Mr. Jon Benjamin because he had a concentrated interest in Ghana's social-political life like no other High Commissioner to ever serve in Ghana.

President Akufo Addo made his comments during the outgoing UK High Commissioner's farewell visit to the Flagstaff on Tuesday, June 20th, 2017.

He also stated that Mr. Jon Benjamin could come back to Ghana whenever he wanted to due to his good relationship with all administrations he worked with in Ghana.

Furthermore, President Akufo Addo stated that he hoped the new High Commissioner, Mr. Lain Walker, would continue along the path made by Mr. Jon Benjamin and further deepen the ties between the United Kingdom and Ghana.

As far he [Jon Benjamin] is concerned, he stated that his stay in Ghana was exciting and that he was saddened at the prospect of leaving Ghana.
