Ghanaian super star singer has taken a stand against entertainment news outlets for misrepresenting her statements in recent interviews.
According to Mzbel, these websites publish negative commentary about her in an attempt to damage her reputation, and gain more site clicks.
The singer took to her Facebook page to shut down the negativity that she is receiving from these sites and their audience.
"You can only get stupid people like yourself to insult and call me names with these headlines, but you cannot end my life or career because only God decides! Over the years this is all you do... tarnish my image and reputation just to get traffic on your blogs," she said.
She stated that it was unfortunate that the media platforms that had a responsibility of shaping the public's perception of celebrities like herself, chose to pursue such 'deceitful and self-seeking' agendas.
She wondered why they did not choose to write about her good deeds or the positive influence she has, rather than create disruptions with their stories.
Mzbel's comments follow the backlash she has received following her interview with Blogger Zionefelix, where she gave her own controversial thoughts on religion.
According to her, Christianity counts as idol worshiping, as she could not fathom why people would pray to an image of a white man in their church.
She stated that while she did believe in God, she did not believe one had to pray through Jesus Christ, to God.
