- He is expected to meet with the Zambian president, Edgar Lungu
The Zambian president, Edgar Lungu, has extended an invitation to the president of the republic, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo at his seat of government.
Ghana’s presidency reveals that the president will be holding some crucial bilateral talks with the Zambian president and also be the special guest of honour at Zambia’s International Trade Fair at the capital of Ndola.
While in Zambia, Nana Addo is also expected to meet with the president of Rwanda, Paul Kagame as they are all expected discuss issues related to trade ties and relations.
In his absence, vice president Bawumia will be expected to step in for the president in the upcoming Eid-Ul-Fitr celebrations taking place on June 26th.
The president is then expected to return to the country by the first week of July. This remains a separate presidential visit by Nana Addo to a different African country.
Nana Addo recently ended his trip to some West African states with the aim of strengthening trade ties between Ghana and all other ECOWAS countries – a development which sparked the rage of the minority who described his visit as illegal and without parliamentary approval.
