It has emerged that, the Nigeria’s hardened criminal who was arrested few weeks ago in Lagos State, did not only fraudulently secure a Ghanaian passport for himself, but also succeeded in acquiring one for the wife and two other kids.
Chukwudidumeme Onwuamadike aka Evans secured Ghanaian biometric passport this year under a forged name, Asare Nelson.
Some documents sighted by an Accra based-Joy News revealed that his wife who holds a Nigerian passport with the name Uchenna Precious Onwuamadike also has a valid Ghanaian passport bearing the name Precious Asare born sometime in July 1985.
The two children of the kidnapper also have in their possessions a five-year valid Ghanaian passports also bearing their last names as Asare all issued in Accra this year.
The Nigerian Assistant Police Commissioner, ACP Abba Kyari in a signed document said kidnapper Onwuamadike, deliberately moved his wife and five children to Ghana because of the nature of his business.
The notorious kidnapper is said to have a heavy mansion in Ghana located at the Spintex Road in Accra, where Mrs Uchenna Precious Onwuamadike resides with their children.
The 31-year-old wife of Evans after his arrest told the Nigeria’s Vanguard newspaper in an interview that, she was not aware how her husband went into kidnapping business.
She insisted that, her husband deals in spare parts and shipping business and his reason for moving them to Ghana was for their children to have good education.
Chukwudidumeme Onwuamadike was arrested on June 10, at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport while exiting Nigeria with his fake Ghanaian passport found on him.
According to the Nigerian IGP), Ibrahim Kpotun Idris, documents available to police so far affirm that the kidnapper’s victims are all Nigerians who in some cases were made to pay as much as $1 million before they were set free.
The police Evans has far made a total of $6.2 million from his kidnapping business.
