Retired Brigadier General Nunoo Mensah has stated that Ghanas Founding Father, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, and the First President and of the Fourth Republic, Flt Lieutenant Jerry John Rawlings were the best leaders the country had seen.
In comments that seem to fly in the face of recent comments made by former president John Agyekum Kufuor, Mr. Nunoo Mensah - a former Chief of Defense Staff - stated that former president Rawlings and Dr. Kwame Nkrumah had the most "profound" impact on Ghana.
“Some are born great and these were indeed born great,” he emphasized.
