Born-again Hip-life artiste, Isaac Okai, also known as Yaw Siki has reiterated that, God directed him not to accept an offer extended to by a UK-based gospel star, Sonnie Badu.
Somewhere in March last year, the gospel singer offered financial support to the Yaw Siki after declaring his intention for gospel ministry.
But the former Hip-life artiste, now Evangelist Yaw Siki flatly decline Sonnie Badu’s offer with reasons that, the musician went public with his financial support to him.
A year on after the incidence, Yaw Siki speaking in an interview today, blamed the media for misconstruing his decision; insisting that God told him not to accept the support from the Ghanaian gospel musician.
Yaw Siki who now preaches in commercial busses submitted that, he declined accepting the offer from Sonnie Badu back then, because he felt the timing was inappropriate.
“My elder brother was giving me an offering out of loving kindness; I told the media I will not take the offer but the media also said I rejected it, that was harsh so I think that led to other things,” he recounted.
Even though Sonnie Badu explained himself on the warm-hearted gestures, he later held back his offer to his chest and apologized to Yaw Siki if he felt embarrassed with his support.
