- He tasked all employees of the Service to go look for their certificates
- He called on all stakeholders to assist in the exercise
The head of the Local Government Service, Dr. Nana Ato Arthur has indicated the Service’s readiness to weed out staff that are not in possession of the required academic qualifications, but are at post.
According to him, some staff are in possession of some questionable qualifications, and in one instance, checks revealed that the staff in question never pursued that programme of study.
In this regard, all working with the various Metropolitan, Municipal, District Assemblies (MMDAs) across the country would be required to produce their degrees for validation.
He made this remark during a familiarization tour in Cape Coast to interact with stakeholders of MMDAs in the Central Region to ensure smooth delivery of quality service.
He called on staff and associates of the Service to assist to make this exercise a success.
