Businessman and flag bearer of the Progressive People’s Party, Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom has signed Abner Martins dos Santos Pinto from Brazil to join his team, Elmina Sharks in Ghana.

Elmina Sharks F.C which currently occupies the 12th position on the Gahana Premier League table have secured the signature of the Brazillian to help boost their chances in the league.

The team recently gained qualification into the top tier Ghana Football League and have garnered 21 points from their 18 matches played so far.

Agents for the Brazilian; Rodrigo S Dalla Rosa and Sebastian Diericx said the deal was made possible after extensive talks with club owner, Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom.

The striker is believed to be a versatile player whose favorite positions are playing out wide as a left winger with attacking option, occupying the Centre-Forward position or playing behind the striker as an Attacking Midfielder.

The 27-year old player has being involved spells with teams including Marsaxlokk, FC Swieqi Utd, Portomosense, Melita and Atl. Granadilla.

In a Facebook post, the new Elmina Sharks signing thanked the club owner and everyone involved in his capture for granting him the opportunity to showcase his talent. He was anticipating joining his new team mates and getting the chance to have yet another stint with the Ghanaian side which was competing in the First Capital Plus Bank Premier League and Ghana FA Cup.

It is also believed that team has asked Coach Kobina Amissah to give way as coach of the newly-promoted side. He is to be replaced by Yaw Acheampong.
