Last week, Ghana's vice-president, Mahamudu Bawumia, led a delegation to China to solicit financial support for Ghana's economy.
The "One district, one factory" programme was one of the several issues that came up for discussion when the Ghanaian delegation met the Chinese leaders, including the country's vice-president, Li Yuanchao.
Samira Bawumia, who accompanied her husband to the talks, immediately attracted attention with her outfit.
As usual, her sense of fashion and style was on full display as she dazzled in a stunning kente dress.
Samira whose dresses have often won praise from fashion critics and enthusiasts joined other top functionaries of state in making Ghana's case for economic support to the Chinese.
Senior Minister Osafo Maafo, Trade and Industry Minister Alan Kyerematen, and GNPC Board Chairman Freddy Blay were the other top government officials who made the trip.
The minister for railways, Joe Ghartey, was also a member of the Ghana team that held discussions with the Chinese.
Reports say the trip was fruitful, as the the Chinese pledged to support the "One district, one factory" initiative with $2 billion.
