A report by GhanaWeb.com has it that, even where the body was to be finally laid to rest was a bone of discord as the mortal remains were being moved from the Oyarifa residence of the late football star.
The report continues that armed police officers had to fight off a crowd opposing the interment at the Methodist burial ground in Aburi.
Mrs. Addo, the wife of the deceased was also conspicuously missing at the cemetery side when the body was being laid to rest.
She was reportedly booed earlier at the burial rites by the family of Herbert Addo, his five daughters and three brothers.
Family disputes marring the burials ceremonies of loved ones are not uncommon in Ghana. The family of the late Daasebre Dwamena had an overdrawn dispute as to whether his mortal remains be buried in Muslim or Christian ways.
