With their win over Mawuli and Botwe, Prempeh joined Adisadel College, which had earlier qualified into the final stage of the competition.
The Kumasi-based SHS maintained a lead over the other competing schools in the third, fourth and fifth rounds of the contest.
After the end of the 3rd round, Prempeh had amassed 10pts to lead Mfantsipim, who had 7pts and Mawuli, who had 6pts.
The fourth round ended with Prempeh maintaining their lead with 42pt, Mfantsipim with 35pts and Mawuli came last with 26pts.
The supporters and other students from Botwe and Mawuli instinctively bowed their heads down, presumably in a silent prayer for a miracle.
But that miracle evaded them as Prempeh College kept their dominance in the fifth and final round of the competition.
At the end of the contest, Prempeh College had 55pts, Mfantsipim School had 49pts and Mawuli School came last with 43pts.
