- The NPP organizers paid a courtesy call on Lord Commey at the presidency
- They appealed to be appointed to various boards of the president's initiatives
- They stated that this will ensure the president's vision is achieved
The Constituency Organizers of the Great Accra Regional branch of the New Patriotic Party have asked government to offer them the district positions of the National Disaster Management Organisation.
During a courtesy call on the Director of Operations at the Presidency Lord Commey, the group asked that they also be placed on boards of the various initiatives by the president to help push the government's goals forward.
The spokesperson for the group, Kobina Amoako, stated that the appointment of the constituency executives, will serve the government well as these will be experienced candidates from the party with adequate organizational skills.
According to an Atinka FM report, the group also spoke on the recent reports about the presidential staffer, warning the unknown perpetrators that their attempt to damage the reputation of Lord Commey, will not be without consequences.
"Mr. Commey is one of the hard working people in this government. So why do some people in our own party want to destroy him? It is also important to know that Lord Commey has been an Operations Man throughout his political career and that is why Nana put him where he is now," Kobina Amoako said.
The group which consisted of 29 constituency organizers out of the 34 in the region, further urged the persons responsible for the attacks on Lord Commey, to rather turn their efforts to supporting the party and government.
The former national organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is of the opinion that his detractors are the ones behind such fabrications, as they are finding it difficult to bring him down.
He further stated that he is focused on doing his job and these reports will not faze him.
