- The Weija Dam is expected to be spilled between now and the end of July
- Authorities of the GCWL are calling on residents in the area to immediately vacate all affected areas
The Ghana water company limited has revealed that it will be opening the Weija Dam to rush out water it claims is overflowing the dam.
Already, minor spills at the Weija Dam are feared to have affected nearby communities especially those of Oblogo, Glefe and their surroundings.
These spills have seen residents suffer the brunt of flooding as they are convulsed to either resort to the use of canoes or completely evacuate the area.
Meanwhile, authorities of the GWCL are calling on all residents of such affected areas to vacate the premises or risk having their properties inundated.

According to the GCWL, there are going to be more spills between now and the end of July.
