Captain of Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan, has revealed that the is currently not in the position to pay full attention to his family.
This, according to him, is because his career takes up most of his time.
He therefore believes that until he has retired from active football, the situation may never change.
He stated that his family currently gets about fifty percent of time, which he believes it isn’t enough. He therefore confessed that he believes he can do more as a father.

The skipper added that he can only completely play the role of a good father once he has retired from active football.
He however added that he won’t fault himself with regard to providing for his family. He ensures that they have all that they need.
Gyan, in talking about his children, stated that the second born, Raphael, is into music; whilst the eldest, Junior plays football.

However, his father believes he lacks the required level of confidence when on the field.
The youngest, Ohemaa, according to Gyan, is cool but quick tempered, just like her mother.
The football maestro concluded by saying that he believes he has put in place the required mechanisms to ensure that his family never lacks the basic things in life.
To him, the investments he has put in place are enough to ensure that he and his family live comfortably.
