Footage has surfaced online showing the incredible moment a man gives water to a thirsty king cobra in Goa, India.
Members of a local animal rescue group noticed the apparently dehydrated snake, one of the deadliest in the world, desperately slithering near a pond.
The group's leader, Amrut Singh, marshaled the cobra from a tree and fed it water from a cup. As it drank, it was dangerously within striking distance of his hand.

One bite from the snake is venomous enough to kill an elephant. Fortunately, the 3.6-meter cobra appeared really thirsty and did not strike at Singh.
Another rescuer is also seen funneling water into the snake's mouth using a leaf.
Speaking to local reporters, Singh said: "I decided to try and offer the cobra water from a steel glass and much to my surprise the reptile started drinking from it."
He added that he has handled cobras for 15 years and has developed a bond with them. He was therefore not afraid as long as he did not put it in any kind of difficulty, he said.
