Mrs Gloria Acquah Addo, the wife of late Coach Herbert Addo has revealed rather what a shocking episode and torment her late husband suffered from his own brothers and daughters before his demise.
According to the widow, his husband’s brothers totally neglected the former Hearts of Oak manager whiles on his sickbed.
Mrs Gloria Acquah Addo has come under intense vilifications and accusations from the late coach’s brothers and daughters who have accused her of deserting her sick husband.
But Mrs. Addo speaking in a media interview flatly denied the assertions insisting that it is rather his two brothers and own daughters who turned their back on him. Making away his long suffering fortunes.
According to her, the ex-coach appealed countless time to his two brothers to release some monies they made away from selling he [Herbert’s] own land whiles on admission at the 37 Military Hospital, but his pleas were ignored.
“A doctor recommended that we take him to Cuba to expedite his healing so he (Herbert Addo) made a call to his younger brother (Philip Addo) who had then sold portions of the family land for over GHC25 billion to come help him with some funds to aid him to travel to Cuba for healing but to the disappointment of the coach his brother never offered the help”, Mrs Acquah said amidst tears.
Mrs. Addo’s comments is in contradiction to an earlier claims made by one of the coach’s brothers, Philip Addo accusing the British High Commission of denying the late coach a visa to England to seek medical attention.
She also disclosed that due to the cold relationship that existed between the former Aduana Stars coach and his daughters, they did not shower him with the care and love he needed whiles on his sickbed.
Mrs. Addo exposed that on a countless number of occasions Herbert Addo’s brothers and daughters turned down pleas by their father respectively to come to his aid.
The late Coach was buried on Saturday 24th June in a burial ceremony that was marred by chaos and confusion over his place of interment.
