The Black Stars of Ghana saw defeat in a friendly encounter against Mexico in Houston on Wednesday night.
The Stars suffered a 1-0 defeat in the international friendly through a first-half penalty awarded Mexico.
The penalty was converted by Elias Hernandez.
The Black Stars tried all they could to equalise but squandered several opportunities. At least five scoring chances were fluffed by Frank Acheampong, Majeed Waris and Raphael Dwamena.
The friendly also saw coach Akwesi Appiah give several players the chance to show their talent or impress.
The game was watched by 37,617 fans at the NRG Stadium (formerly named Reliant Stadium).
Mexico has now defeated Ghana in all three meetings (2006, 2008 and now 2017).
