- Kofi Adams claims that some items were missing from his vehicles after a government taskforce picked them up from his house
The National Democratic Congress' Kofi Adams has officially filed a writ against Major General Obed Akwa at the Human Rights Division of the Accra High Court.
Kofi Adams' case against the Chief of Defence Staff of the Ghana Armed Forces, also go against Captain Anane Tandoh of the Defence Mechanical Transport Unit at Burma Camp as well as Brong Ahafo Youth Organiser of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC.
The writ by Adams seeks a return of items which the NDC stalwart says were stolen from his cars by a Captain Tandoh-led taskforce.
Earlier in 2017, after the New Patriotic Party won power from the NDC, Captain Tandoh led a taskforce to the house of Kofi Adams in an attempt to recover "state vehicles".
The taskforce took five vehicles from Kofi Adams' residence after they were identified as state vehicles.
These were subsequently given to the police and eventually returned to Kofi Adams.
The case by Kofi Adams says that the taskforce made away with his licenses pistol and an undisclosed amount of money.
