Embattled managing director of the Bulk Oil Storage and Transport (BOST), Alfred Obeng Boateng has denounced claims of tendering in his resignation letter.
A letter purporting his resignation surfaced on social media in the mid hours of Friday, June 30, 2017 claimed that Alfred Obeng Boateng had thrown in the towel and thus vacated his position.
“It is my wish to voluntarily step aside as investigations commerce into the sale of Off-Spec fuel by BOST under me as Managing Director, as might have come to H.E’s attention,” excerpts of the purported letter which had the alleged signature of the MD revealed.
In an interview with Asempa FM, spokesperson of BOST, Nana Akua Adubea confirmed that “ the MD of BOST, Alfred Obeng Boateng is still at post, he has not resigned”.
So far, the energy minister Boaky Agyarko has revealed government’s resolve to set up a special committee to investigate the matter.
