- Founder of the defunct URP says he would have been a better president than Nana Addo
- Kofi Wayo criticised the current NPP-led government saying Nana Addo is not qualified
Founder of the defunct United Renaissance Party (URP), Chuck Kofi Wayo believes he is more qualified to be president of Ghana than incumbent Nana Akufo-Addo and erstwhile president John Mahama.
According to him, Ghanaians must begin to think about voting other parties into power rather than only focusing on the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
In his view, the aforementioned parties have woefully failed the country and have let all Ghanaians down.
Speaking on Adom News on Thursday, Kofi Wayo had some strong words for the leaders of the country, insisting he is more qualified to be president of Ghana than both Nana Akufo-Addo and John Mahama.
He accused the NDC and NPP of taking Ghanaians for granted, saying “Farmers in our rural communities continue to be poorer while the politicians are comfortably living in the cities and stealing state money and all you ask is NDC and NPP.”
Kofi Wayo also criticised the vice president, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, accusing him of constantly lying to the people of Ghana.
He went on to state that journalists must begin to ask the right questions, suggesting Ghanaians are gullible to deception.
“You [journalists] don’t ask the good questions and he [Dr. Bawumia] knows that you are ignorant so he goes ahead to lie and you praise him for lying to you because Ghanaians enjoy listening to lies.”
Kofi Wayo was once the flagbearer of the defunct URP, but is now also actively involved in farming.
