"True" killer of Major Mahama finally confesses to the crime after police catch up with him

As the police investigations into the murder of the late Major Maxwell Adams Mahama continue, new details and revelations are surfacing about how the military officer was killed.

Media reports suggest that a thirty-six (36) year old male, one Kwame Tuffour has confessed to being the true killer of Major Mahama.

The man, a farmer in the Denkyira-Obuasi area, confessed to being the one who used a stone to deal the death-blow to the military officer.

Kwame Tuffour, who was until last week, on the run from the police until he was caught.

In a video of the killing, which went viral, the farmer is seen pummeling the helpless Major Mahama with a stone.

Investigators have stated that, that that was the "moment" that killed Major Mahama.

The suspect, while in police custody reportedly admitted to the crime saying, "I was around carrying wood when I heard people shouting thief, thief so I rushed there picked a cement block and hit him".

Police investigators have disclosed that about 51 suspects have so far been arrested in connection with the incident with the latest being 7 who were on Friday remanded by an Accra Central District Court.

They include Akwasi Baah, Solomon Sackey, Kwame Agyei, Joseph Appiah Kubi (aka Kum Dede), Akosua Takyiwaa (aka Maabono), Esther Dauda (aka Asha) and Michael Kumah (aka Kojo Anim) to reappear on June 21, 2017
