Chelsea legend and star, John Terry has signed a year’s deal with Championship side, Aston Villa.
The move was confirmed on Twitter by the Villa owner and chairman Dr Tony Xia.
“‘Welcome JT to Birmingham city…Aston Villa! #UTV! @AVFCOfficial Announcement shortly!”
JT has joined Aston Villa on a free transfer.
The 37-year-old defender played 21 years at the Stamford Bridge. He made 690 appearances in total for Chelsea. In the period he scored 65 goals, as he won five Premier League titles, five FA Cups, three League Cups, the Champions League and Europa League.
Reports by the wires say Terry will sign a one-year deal with Aston Villa with a bonus package worth 4million pounds if the team is promoted to the Premier League.
He is expected to take home around £80,000 per week — if he hits bonus targets.
