With the rainy season in full force, and the still prevailing issue of inadequate road signs or street-lighting, motorists are even more aware of the need to be extra vigilant on our roads.
Random stops and irregular parking have been among the frustrating challenges that motorists face every day from their fellow road users.
This is how one concerned reader brought to the attention of YEN.com.gh, a parked truck right in the middle of highway that is a cause for concern.
According to Sam Atta, the truck in the photos was parked in the middle of the main Yendi Highway, which is also known as the hospital road, since Friday, June 30.
The truck was left there with no warning road triangles to alert other motorists of the situation at hand.
Mr. Atta indicated, that with the heavy rains hitting Tamale in recent weeks, such a situation poses a threat to road users who have no forewarning of the truck left in the middle of the road.
"In case of a lights out, disaster looms for motorists using the road," Mr. Atta said
He is therefore is calling for the proper authorities to step in and handle the situation.
