Andre "Dede" Ayew, the Ghana and West Ham United midfielder, has revealed that Shatta Wale is his favourite Ghanaian musician.
In a recent interview, Dede described Shatta Wale as a talented singer with a unique, God-given talent.
The midfielder said Shatta Wale was the "number one" musician in Ghana and that the "Kakai" singer had made songs that had touched the hearts of many Ghanaians, including his own.
He said Shatta Wale had taken over the Ghanaian music scene and was growing from strength to strength.
The footballer said people, initially, did not understand Shatta Wale, but were getting to know and understand him more.
Dede also commended Shatta Wale for what he said was the musician's consistency in releasing hit songs.
He said if the dancehall artiste continued on current trajectory, he would be a top star for a long time.
“I know most of his [Shata Wale's] songs, if not all of them. He is the number one in Ghana. He has made a lot of songs that have touched the hearts of Ghanaians... God has given him something unique," he said.
The midfielder revealed that he was also a fan of Sarkodie and Stonebwoy.
