Top boxing official exposes Ghanaian boxer, Joseph Agbeko, as a "fraudster"

The President of the Ghana Boxing Authority, Peter Zwennes in an interview with Happy FM revealed that the two time bantamweight champion, Joseph Agbeko was a fraudulent boxer.

Mr. Zwennes told Happy FM that the fight between Agbeko and Nick Otieko, the Kenyan slated to go down in two weeks was not sanctioned by the GBA.

The president divulged that the Fresh King Promotions did not comply with the rules it required to hold such a match.

Mr. Zwennes explained that they never had any fight contract did not receive any financial stipend from Agbeko with regard to the fight with Nick and so it was decided that it would be unwise to sanction the match.

He went on further to air the dirty laundry of the former two time bantamweight champion.

He said Agbeko has been engaging in fraudulent conduct extorting boxers, taking money from the Ministry of Youth and Sports to promote a fight and it took him three years to pay back the money.

He went on to divulge that when he (Agbeko) promised to pay all expenses after fighting with Guillermo Rigondeaux but after the fight he absconded with the money.

The president further disclosed that the last promotion he had he didn’t have money to pay the visiting boxer and Solomon Otu Lartey who paid for amenities revealed that all the money ended up in the pocket of Agbeko.

Agbeko because he couldn’t raise the money, went to the police and lodged a false complaint that his vehicle had been stolen and got the matchmaker arrested for three days the Ghana Boxing Association President disclosed.

The president later confirmed that the fight was indeed not coming on and any other information that went contrary to his conclusion that the public hears is a lie.
